Stick your toes in the sand and enjoy the sunset with a cocktail in your hand – that’s how the Stahlstadt kids love it on the banks of the Danube in Linz. The first urban beach bar in Linz was opened in front of the Brucknerhaus under the name SANDBURG. For a long time this was frowned upon, as people did not want to restrict the generous consumption-free zone. Through discussions and mediation between various interest groups, a solution was found that fits harmoniously into the urban development and has become a highly frequented meeting place on the Donaulände.
